Shawn Savadkohi joined the San Mateo County Health System in 2016 as their information security officer. In his 25 years working in information technology, he has crossed both public and private sector industries - non-profit charities, public utilities (water, wastewater), entertainment, and in the past five years, healthcare.  Shawn's technical capacities are reflected in prior roles as a web developer, network engineer, SCADA programmer, security consultant, technical operations manager, and solutions architect.  He is currently engaged in implementing a health-system wide secure messaging platform.

Whether it’s responding to ransomware, prioritizing IoT threats, ferreting out malicious insiders, or dealing with myriad other threats, our speakers will give attendees actionable in-the-trenches information on how to mitigate some of today’s scariest scenarios.
