May 12, 2017
9:05am - 9:50am
Grand Ballroom

When it comes to cybersecurity, knowledge is your best friend. You can’t defend against, what you don’t know exists. In this May 12 keynote, “Know Your Adversary: Cybersecurity Trends and Emerging Threats,” M.K. Palmore, the FBI's assistant special agent in charge - Cyber Branch in San Francisco, will give attendees an up-to-the minute overview of the cyber-security landscape, including phishing, insider threats, compromised business emails  and the bad actors out to steal healthcare data.

This presentation will include a review of lessons learned from past FBI breach investigations (keeping the victims anonymous), explaining how and why they happened, and what could have been done to prevent them.Importantly, when it comes to securing data, attendees will learn how healthcare organizations can leverage the FBI’s tremendous resources to help head off breaches and investigate them if they do.

What many security professionals don’t know is that in a time of crisis, the FBI could turn out to be your best friend.
