Phil Alexander is the Chief Information Security Officer at North Mississippi Health Services. He holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and several certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), HITRUST Practitioner, and Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO). Prior to NMHS he was the Director of Information Security Officer at UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas. A majority of his 20+ years in cyber security was in the federal arena working at 1st AD/Europe, National Security Agency (NSA) and Regional Computer Emergency Response Team - South America (RCERT-S). He has served as the founding President of the West Texas chapter of the ISSA, a member of the Federal CIP Working Group and the Healthcare NIST CSF Implementation Guide Working Group. He has received numerous awards including the 2016 TORCH IT Leadership award for his work helping teach, consult, and build cyber security in small rural Texas hospitals.
