Healthcare Security Forum: A HIMSS Event

December 7-8, 2020 | Boston, MA

Email Protection and Awareness Training

December 10, 2019
11:00am - 11:50am
St. George AB

When it comes to healthcare’s top security challenge, no matter what the survey, email phishing scams come out on top. It’s the most common point of unauthorized entry into a healthcare organization. Of hacking breaches reported to OCR late last year, 60 percent involved email. Additionally, in a recent HIMSS survey of 125 security professionals at healthcare provider organizations, 25% listed email at the largest risk to the organization’s security (14% list mobile apps, landing it in the #2 spot).

What’s to be done?

In this session, speakers discuss what they consider the best approaches to email protection. As with all our breakout sessions, this is designed to be interactive. Join in and share what has and hasn’t worked for you.

Key discussion points

  • Email protection controls
