Afternoon Preview: Healthcare Security Boot Camp

December 9, 2019
12:30pm - 12:45pm
Essex Ballroom

The afternoon sessions will be Interactive, facilitated, group discussions lead by outstanding healthcare professionals and designed to dive-deep into key security topics, share successes/lessons learned, and develop solid takeaways for all.

These sessions, most based on foundational information recommended in the 2018 Health Industry Cybersecurity Practices: Mitigating Threats and Protecting Patients” (HICP), are critical to maturing you organization's security posture.

Under the Cybersecurity Act of 2015, HHS convened a taskforce to raise awareness, provide vetted cybersecurity practices, and move organizations towards consistency in mitigating the most pertinent cybersecurity threats. The end result, HICP, provides guidance on cost-effective methods that healthcare organizations at every size and resource level can use to reduce cybersecurity risks.

For this brief pre-lunch session, we’ve assembled a few task force members to discuss the importance of HICP to securing healthcare and enabling organizational strategic and business goals.
