Information technologies offer unprecedented opportunities to improve the healthcare system.  There are three significant trends underway:

Widespread data collection through pervasive computing;
Expanded sharing of the collected data; and
Advances in analytical tools to analyze the data

Unfortunately, the emerging opportunities come with concomitant risk.  What are the potential implications for healthcare organizations?  This session describes:

Specific examples of opportunities offered by data analytics;
Challenges healthcare organizations face in incorporating analytical approaches; and
Emerging societal vulnerabilities that accompany the digitization of healthcare
