HEALTHCARE SECURITY FORUM: A HIMSS EVENT
Boston, MA - September 11 - 13, 2017
Vlad, a seasoned IT veteran with 25+ years of mission-critical IT experience, founded Edge Hosting in 1998 with a vision of bringing outcomes-based thinking into the world of managed hosting. Edge, a spin-off from his first IT venture ACS, started in 1991 while he was still a student at the University of Maryland. ACS was a software startup that created the only packaged solution for large scale automotive logistics processing that was widely adopted by auto manufacturers, port processors and transportation carriers around the globe. After identifying a significant gap in the marketplace for a solution-oriented hosting provider that did more than sell servers, cores, gigs, and bandwidth, Vlad created Edge. Edge filled the gap by understanding customers’ workloads, using only the best infrastructure components and including engineering services required to build and operate the platforms on a 24/7 basis. Under Vlad’s direction, what started as a single server has grown to thousands of servers in geographically diverse data centers managed by a team of certified engineers exclusively focused on hosting highly secure, mission-critical hosting for web and line-of-business applications.
From healthcare providers to companies that service the healthcare industry, the move to the cloud is inevitable. The right partnership can help you overcome the challenges involved including the continuous stream of technological advances; security challenges and evolving compliance mandate and interoperability as data gets increasingly shared across new and legacy systems.
In this session, you will hear how Surgical Information Systems and Edge Hosting worked together to ensure compliance and security across systems without compromising performance, determining the right configuration of the latest technologies and how to design a flexible solution that can adapt to the demands of new technology acquisitions.
